Krafton India Awards 2025, presented by iQOO, has created a huge chaos in the Indian gaming community, but not for the reasons Krafton expected. The event, scheduled for January 9, 2026, aims to celebrate top creators, esports athletes, and industry leaders across 17 categories.
However, once the nominations were revealed, many players and fans felt the list did not reflect the community’s actual growth or contributions.
Mortal Reaction to Krafton India Awards 2025
The loudest reaction came from Mortal, one of India’s most respected gaming figures. His response was direct and emotional, showing just how strongly he felt about the choices made.
Mortal said, “I’m sorry to say, but these nominations are shitty. How is Joker not nominated? How is Aman in the ‘Rising’ category? This is completely bullshit. Who is operating this, and what are they even doing? The authenticity is dropping completely.”
Mortal rarely calls out industry decisions in this manner, so his frustration immediately stood out. Many fans agreed with him and felt some creators were placed in categories that didn’t make sense.
His comments highlight a broader concern: whether the awards truly represent the community or whether the process is becoming out of touch with what viewers actually value.

Whether Krafton chooses to address the criticism or clarify the selection process remains to be seen. Still, one thing is clear: creators and fans want an award show that feels connected to the real community, not one that leaves them questioning the choices.
Community Confused by Certain Nominations
The list of nominees includes well-known names such as Jonathan, Scout, Snax, Kaashvi, Payal, Ocean, and many others across categories like Influencer of the Year, Best IGL, and Fans’ Choice Awards.
While the recognition is meant to celebrate effort and talent, some placements have confused viewers. For example, fans questioned why experienced creators appeared in “Rising Creator” categories or why standout figures like Joker were missing.
Overall, the Krafton India Awards 2025 have definitely sparked conversation. Many are still excited for the event, but the debate also shows how passionate the Indian gaming audience is about recognition that feels earned and honest.
